Ship Stuck in Mud and Silt Near Miami Coast
MIAMI (AP) — A luxury cruise ship carrying 206 passengers has been successfully freed after being stuck aground for three days off the coast of Miami. The Ocean Explorer, considered the world's largest cruise ship, ran aground in mud and silt on Monday.
The crew rescued 14 people who were clinging to the side of the ship, according to the Associated Press. No injuries were reported.
The ship was pulled free on Wednesday and is now being towed to a nearby port for repairs. The cause of the grounding is under investigation.
