Leipzig Midfielder Sabitzer Moves to Manchester United
Six Years in Leipzig
Marcel Sabitzer, the Austrian midfielder, has left RB Leipzig after six years with the club. Sabitzer joined Leipzig in the summer of 2015 from Rapid Vienna and has since made over 200 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
A Key Player
Sabitzer has been a key player for Leipzig, helping the club to win the DFB-Pokal in 2019 and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2020. The 27-year-old has also been capped 60 times by Austria.
A New Challenge
Sabitzer is now looking for a new challenge in his career and has joined Manchester United on a four-and-a-half-year deal. The move to Old Trafford will see Sabitzer reunited with his former Leipzig manager, Ralf Rangnick.
